Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Blessed Soul (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Gabija Sadauskaitė ("Blessed Soul", "we", "our", "us"), a sole trader registered in the Republic of Lithuania under individual activity (individuali veikla) certificate No. 1365546, with registered address at Debesijos g. 10, LT-10314 Vilnius, Lithuania. Gabija Sadauskaitė is the legal person operating the Blessed Soul Service.

2. Eligibility

To use Blessed Soul you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old.
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your country of residence, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.

The Service is offered in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Australia. If you access the Service from any other jurisdiction, you do so on your own initiative and the Service is provided to you on an "as is" basis with no representations as to its suitability or legality in your country.

3. Service description

Blessed Soul is a Bible reading and prayer companion. It provides the full text of the Bible in the World English Bible and King James Version translations, guided reading plans, a daily devotional, audio narration, a private journal and prayer list, a community prayer wall, and an AI study assistant that answers questions about scripture.

Scripture quotations are taken from the World English Bible and the King James Version, both of which are in the public domain.

Blessed Soul is a devotional aid, not a substitute for your church. The reflections, reading plans and AI-generated guidance in the app are provided for personal study and encouragement. They are not pastoral counsel, and they are not professional medical, legal, financial or psychological advice. The study assistant can be wrong, can misquote, and can give an answer that does not reflect the teaching of your tradition — always check what it says against the scripture text itself, and take serious questions to your pastor, priest, or a qualified professional. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services.

4. Account

Much of Blessed Soul works without an account: your reading position, highlights, notes and journal are stored in your browser on the device you are using. If you subscribe, your access is tied to the email address you give at checkout, and you are responsible for keeping that email account secure — anyone with access to it can reach your Blessed Soul subscription.

A single Blessed Soul account corresponds to a single email address. Sharing an account with other people is not permitted (see Section 7).

5. Subscription terms

A Blessed Soul subscription unlocks the full library of reading plans, audio narration, unlimited questions to the study assistant, and everything else behind the paywall. Our plans are introductory offers: the amount below is charged today and buys the access period stated beside it.

  • 3-Day plan — $3.95 USD, for three days of full access.
  • 7-Day plan — $6.95 USD, for seven days of full access.
  • 2-Week plan — $8.95 USD, for fourteen days of full access.

Each plan renews automatically, and the renewal price is higher than the introductory amount you pay today. Unless you cancel before your introductory period ends, your subscription converts to a standard monthly subscription at $44.95 USD per month. The first monthly charge is taken on the day your introductory period ends, and further charges are taken on the same day of each month after that, until you cancel.

  • You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing contact@blessedsoul.app. We process cancellations within one business day.
  • Cancelling before your introductory period ends stops the first monthly charge. Cancelling later stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the most recent charge; see the Refund Policy for refund terms.

Prices are quoted in US dollars. Local taxes (e.g. VAT or sales tax) may be added at checkout depending on your country of residence; the total amount payable will be shown before you complete payment.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not automatically refund past charges. The full refund terms — including your statutory rights as an EU consumer — are set out in our Refund Policy.

7. Acceptable use

When using Blessed Soul, you agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or use any automated means to access or extract content from the Service.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
  • Share your account credentials with anyone else.
  • Copy, resell, redistribute, or publicly display Blessed Soul's original content — reading plans, devotionals, written prayers, study material, audio narration and artwork. This restriction does not apply to the scripture text itself, which is in the public domain.
  • Submit a prayer request that names or identifies another person without their consent, or that contains abuse, harassment, hate speech, or the promotion of a product, cause or campaign.
  • Use the study assistant to generate content that is unlawful, abusive, or intended to deceive.
  • Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm any other person.
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.

Prayer requests submitted to the community prayer wall are reviewed before publication. We may decline to publish, or later remove, any request that breaks these rules, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are violating them.

8. Intellectual property

The scripture text in Blessed Soul (World English Bible, King James Version) is in the public domain and is not claimed by us. Everything else we provide — reading plans, devotionals, written prayers, study material, audio narration, illustrations, brand marks, and the structure of the Service itself — is owned by Blessed Soul or licensed to us. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use this content for your own personal, non-commercial devotional use while your subscription is active.

You retain ownership of everything you write in the Service — your journal entries, notes, highlights, prayers, and support messages. By submitting that text, you grant Blessed Soul a limited license to store and process it for the sole purpose of operating the Service and responding to you. Your journal and private prayers are never published and never shown to other users. If you submit a prayer request to the community prayer wall, you grant us permission to display it there under the first name you provide. We do not sell your submissions, and we do not use them to train AI models.

9. AI guidance and community content

The study assistant is powered by a large language model. Its answers are generated, not reviewed by a person before you see them, and they can contain mistakes — including misquoted verses, wrong references, and interpretations that do not match your tradition. Treat every answer as a starting point for your own reading rather than as authoritative teaching, and check it against the scripture text.

The community prayer wall carries requests written by other people and prayers written by us. Requests are moderated before publication, but we cannot guarantee that every submission is accurate or sincere. Do not use the wall to seek or give medical, legal or financial advice, and never post information that identifies you or anyone else beyond a first name.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Blessed Soul's aggregate liability to you under or in connection with these Terms is limited to the total fees you have paid to Blessed Soul in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
  • Blessed Soul is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, even if Blessed Soul has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in this Section limits or excludes:

  • Liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
  • Liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
  • Liability for death or personal injury caused by Blessed Soul's negligence.
  • Any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law (including, for EU consumers, rights under the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and the Digital Content Directive 2019/770/EU).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Blessed Soul harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights — except to the extent such claims arise from Blessed Soul's own gross negligence or willful misconduct.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Where the violation is curable, we will give you notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure before terminating, except in cases of material breach or repeated violation.

You may terminate your relationship with Blessed Soul at any time by cancelling your subscription and requesting deletion of your account (see our Privacy Policy for the deletion process).

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved by the competent courts of Vilnius, Lithuania, except that EU consumers retain the right to bring proceedings in their country of residence.

EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after the update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may cancel your subscription before they take effect.
